Young Families at Temple Concord
Temple Concord is a place where young families grow, connect, and build lasting Jewish memories together. Whether you’re expecting your first child, have toddlers running around, or are navigating the elementary school years, we offer welcoming spaces for your family to explore Jewish life, meet other families, and feel at home.
Programs for Your Littlest Members
Gan: Once a month on Sunday mornings, led by Rebecca Oppedisano, founder of Bluebird Music Together—songs, crafts, and stories for our youngest learners.
Tot Shabbat: Monthly Shabbat service with Rabbi Emanuel and Cantor Eglash, filled with music, stories, and special snacks for our littlest members and their families.
As Your Family Grows
Religious School: Starting in Kindergarten, children join our vibrant Religious School community on Sunday mornings (9am-12pm), where they learn, sing, create, and build friendships with other Jewish kids.
Family Shabbat Services: Join us for Shabbat services designed to be accessible and engaging for families with children of all ages.
Holiday Celebrations: From building the sukkah to lighting the menorah, from Purim carnivals to Passover seders, our holiday celebrations bring families together in joy and tradition.
Building Community Together
Being part of Temple Concord means you’re never alone in raising Jewish kids. Our young family community supports one another through the questions, the chaos, and the beautiful moments. You’ll find:
- Other parents navigating the same stage of life
- Social gatherings throughout the year, including our annual Latkes & Libations at the Eglash home
- Opportunities to volunteer and get involved at whatever level works for your family
- A warm, welcoming congregation that celebrates your children and embraces your family
